This engagement session is EVERYTHING. It's a beautiful love story that is set in the most magical, real-life secret garden.
I had the pleasure of capturing Kayla and Scott's engagement session at the more-gorgeous-than-words-can-properly-describe, Piney Creek Greenhouse. After having to reschedule because of rain, and facing yet another forecast of showers, I stumbled across this gem as a place that would provide shelter from down pours, yet still have a great outdoor feel to it. I had seen a few photos online in my research, but nothing prepared me for the sheer beauty of this greenhouse. And we totally hit the jack pot with weather as there wasn't a rain drop or stormy cloud to be found.
The setting was perfect for Kayla and Scott because we found all these darling little romantic nooks that were excellent for stolen glances, tranquil moments, and passionate kisses. But what made this shoot extra special was that the couple included Scott's precious daughter Oaklynn. She stole the show. She had excellent pose ideas for me and loved dancing and playing throughout the gardens of the green house.
This entire session was filled with so much love and a little bit of magic! Enjoy a few of my favorite photos!
One more thing!!! I do need to praise the gracious owners of Piney Creek Greenhouse. I had spoken to them earlier in the week to ensure we had permission to roam the grounds and take photographs and they were more than welcoming and accommodating. When our shoot came to an end I had the chance to thank the owners and tell them how much I loved their business. They again were so kind and invited me to come back any time to just stroll the grounds, find a moment of peace, or take more photos. If you haven't ever been there, it's worth the little drive out to Martinsburg to take in the beauty that is the Piney Creek Greenhouse.
